But since the Milton Freidman "Church of Free Markets" approach has turned out just plain wrong; combined with a paucity of convictions of bankers post-bailout; you can expect politicians to do all the wrong things again. The big danger with all this is that taxes may skyrocket. So, if you're starting out you (1) methodically save into a Roth IRA for tax elimination. But those amount are small ($5,000 this year). Then (2) you trade futures or Forex to turn small amounts of money into a big pile using a corporation you create to trade as a business. Then you can tax shelter up to $60,000 per year using a SEP or SIMPLE IRA in the stock market through a passive core strategy such as indexed funds (The Gone Fishin Portfolio) or Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKB)."

It was a revised report ( hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota ; western South Dakota ; and extreme eastern Montana ..... check THIS out:The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels.. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking..."

Doc Brown Answer; "The NFA is a group of predatory attorneys that exist to suck garbage fees out of your account. They cause huge problems in futures where they basically muzzle otherwise good educators who have made the mistake of registering with the NFA. Right now the NFA is posturing to force regulation on Forex cash trading. The recent regulations have negligible affects on your trading. BUT, even if the NFA eventually makes sizable inroads in Forex (as they have parasitized futures) you will still be able to simply move your account to the United Kingdom through a large clearing firm like FxCM."
